1. Keep the urea solution pure
Use high-quality urea solution that meets ISO 22241 standards to avoid impurities clogging the nozzle.It is prohibited to use tap water, industrial urea or inferior substitutes to prevent crystallization or corrosion of the nozzle.
2. Control the filling amount of urea box
In high temperatures in summer, the filling amount of urea tank shall not exceed 90%; in low temperatures in winter, it can be increased to 100% (to prevent volume shrinkage after icing and damage to the pipeline).
3. Avoid residual urea in the pipeline
Wait for 2-3 minutes after stopping, wait for the urea liquid in the pipeline to return to the urea box before turning off the engine to prevent residual urea crystal from clogging the nozzle or pipeline.
4. Check the urea level regularly
When the remaining amount of urea liquid is less than 20%, it will be added in time to avoid too low liquid level causing system alarm or damage to the nozzle dry operation.
5. Prevent urea from contacting metal parts
Urea liquid cannot contact copper, lead, zinc, aluminum, magnesium and other metals or alloys to avoid chemical reactions to corrode the nozzle.
6. Strictly control storage and transportation temperatures
High temperatures will shorten the storage period, and insulation measures are required to prevent icing in the low temperatures.
7. Use pure water to clean the accessories
When cleaning urea nozzles, pipelines or urea tanks, purified water or distilled water must be used. Tap water is prohibited (calcium and magnesium ions can easily form crystallization).
8. Avoid urea freezing to affect the system
The OBD system of the National VI B model allows urea to temporarily fail to meet the standards after freezing, but the urea liquid needs to be melted as soon as possible to restore the system to normal.
9. Regularly check the nozzle status
Check the nozzle for crystallization, blockage or leakage every 5,000 kilometers, and use special cleaning agents to clear the nozzle holes to avoid long-term clogging and causing nozzle failure.
10. Standardize operation and emergency treatment
If the urea solution touches the skin or eyes, immediately rinse with a lot of water for at least 15 minutes; if inhaling the urea solution causes respiratory discomfort, move it to a fresh place in the air and seek medical treatment.
